When riding a horse we leave our fear, troubles, and sadness behind on the ground. — Judi Carlson

This photo was shot in 2004 in North Missouri. This horse was shared by two sisters who showed him all over. They were neat girls, typical of horse crazy young ladies. The one in the photo is the oldest of the two. She was a hoot to watch as she primped up the horse (never mind her sister!) for the photos. I have another image of her coming up in the next few days.

I have to say one of my favorite things to do is photograph girls and women with their horses. Women are so true to themselves around their horses. It is a blessing to get to witness that honesty on a regular basis.

To explore the topic of women and horses further, I recommend you stop by Lisa Johnson’s Reins for Renewal website/blog at http://www.reinsforrenewal.com/2011/10/women-horses.html
